AI behavior consistency

I played an 8 hour match yesterday and the day before and the AI (hard aggressor) really kicked my ass. It definitely was aggressive, very much so. Today with the same setting and a new game the AI does absolutely nothing. Not a single attack in hours. What is up with that? I would hate to have to start an hour long game anew because it just gets boring, only mopping up the AI planet by planet.

Are you saying that both times ai was set to aggressor? Are you sure of that; if so what about other ai, map, races etc.

Yes, both times aggressor and same race (TEC rebels). The maps were different though. 1vs1.

TR operates very differently depending on what upgrades they get and also you said different map so what planets was the ai facing on each map. If you are really interested in finding a possible answer to your question play both maps again and see if they play out differently or the same as before. It is a process of trial and elimation.
