How do I enable Resource Focus?

I can't figure out how to enable the Trade Station to focus on resources

from Sins Forums

Playing as the Advent.  I have the technologies "Resource Focus" and "Enhanced Focus."  When I click on my Trade Station, I see a button with the picture of the Trade Station in the Action Pane.  When I hover the mouse over it, it displays "Resource Focus."  When I click the button, nothing happens.  The Trade Station does not switch, and the button does not change either to reflect.

What do I click to enable Resource Focus?  I can't figure it out.

Resource focus is a toggle ability. Hit it once to enable, another to disable. If you're hitting it to fast you maybe be switching it back before it applies.

I am definitely only hitting the button one time.  I see the button depress and then nothing.  No sound, no change.  If I right-click the button I hear a "thunk" sound but nothing happens either.  I think the button is broken in my game.  :P

it doesnt matter. Resource focus is the shittiest thing in the game, and switching your trade ports to it makes them SIGNIFICANTLY WORSE.

 

do not use it. do not research it.
