[BUG] Save game files corrupting causing minidumps and Steam conflicting with Rebellion

My main savegame file has corrupted and caused minidumps whenever I tried to open at about the 8hr mark, and now the game will not allow me to delete the corrupted game file through the 'Manage Files' panel in the Options menu.

Plus Steam client now seems to be conflicting with Sins-Reb by thinking the game is still running when it's not. it's even happened on a fresh boot-up of the Steam client and just shuting it straight back down again.

I have the minidumps and copies of the save files plus screen caps if the Devs want to go over them.

Please let me know what email address to send them to.

Please zip them up and send them to rebellionsupport@stardock.com or support@stardock.com.  You may want to try the Verify Integrity of Game Cache option in Steam as well. It sounds like something got pretty messed up with your install.

I have been reading about the minidump issues for quite a while, but had actually never had the displeasure of having one before until a few days ago, and now all the sudden both myself and my friend I always play the game with are getting them pretty much anytime we begin a new game off of a savefile for the day we get one and have to start from an autosave :/ Transferring the full savegame file so that they are the same for both me and my friend oddly enough does not work (this happened all the time in Shogun Total War and at least file transferring resolved that issue 90% of the time)

Hopefully you get this issue resolved fairly soon Stardock. It makes me a sad pony.

p.s. verified game cache integrity as well.

p.p.s. from what I am seeing in the ICO gamelobby and here it seems to be a very widespread issue so you should have no issues recreating it inhouse.

Thanks for the reply Yarlen.

Minidumps, gamefiles and screen caps have been zipped and emailed to the rebellionsupport@ address

Verified game file/cache at 100%. no errors. I was able to reload game from autosave files, but when saving it under a new filename, it corrupts that new savefile too and minidumps on reload.

I can't delete the corrupted savefiles through the Manage Files panel on the Option menu. So I'm going to delete them manually, If that doesn't work, I'll have to purge Rebellion and reinstall it.

Up until now Rebellion had been quiet stable for me, no minidumps before this.

Keep up that great work that you guys do.
