Vasari glitch/bug?

I don't know why and i have no clue how but i have noticed after every so often in a gravity well the builder ships or whatever you call them will randomly explode, Like once i was on my way on building like a factory and on its flight it just randomly explodes. And i highly dought it has anything to do with what is chasing the Vasari. Anyone know why or did i miss something?

Its likely due to the vasari capital ships colonize ability running out, E$verytime you colonize a planet with the "space egg" you get extra construction frigates depending on the level of the ability, the numbers and the duration of which they last for goes up with the ability level, when the ability duration runs out the extra builders blow up.

You can increase the amount of permanent frigates by upgrading the logistical and tactical slots.
