A Little List of Vasari Bugs

The title says it all, this is essentially just going to be a small list of things I've noticed while playing Vasari.

  • First and foremost, the Vasari  cap ships appear to have severe OCD. Many times I've been fighting losing battles and have to send my fleet back a grav well and all of the ships start moving, including the caps. A minute later I go back and a few of my cap ships have decided that they want to stay and fight a while longer, there current task is shown as auto attacking enemy ships. I try to send them back a grav well again, 5 seconds later they get bored retreating and start attacking again. The only way I could get all of my caps to succesfully retreat was to spam click where i wanted them to go for a solid minute.
  • I was moving through enemy grav wells with my massive end game fleet when a small-medium TEC fleet shows up. I was expecting it to take a little over 30 seconds for my fleet with a titan, 8 or son level 7  caps, and over  100 frigates and cruisers, so i was a little confused when five minutes later they were still there. Upon extensive further investigation (putting my mouse over the ships) I found out that 80% of my fleet had no active task, except for a few which had been wandering aimlessly around. Since I didn't have time to choose a target for each ship I sent them all after one small cruiser in the hope that they would kill it quick and start attacking other stuff. Nope. They killed it and then sat there. I checked and all of my ships had auto attack on, and this appeared to only have affected my frigates and cruisers, my caps were fine for once.
  • Last little thing is the Vasari Titan (the maw one) uses his teleporting ability like a child. Every once in a while it will just start teleporting all over the place for no real use. Sometimes he'll be fighting a battle and hell just decide that he wants to be 2 feet closer to the enemy. I know this isn't really a bug and can be solved by taking auto cast off, but I would love to see a titan that actually uses his abilities smartly.

Thi behavior occurs only when your capital ship has been disabled while retreating. At least I only noticed this behavior when one of my capital ships was disabled by Phase Out Hull or Reverie.

I find my Orkies doing #1 all the time. It may affect all my ships, and they're just the only ones I notice doing it because they take so much longer to get anywhere, so they have more time to activate ADD mode. Very annoying if I'm switching it out for a fresh one mid-fight, and the new one just has to sit there disabled while the old one runs back to the enemy to kill itself.

Agreed about ability auto-use conditions too; I think the options for aiUseTime in the entity files would have to be expanded somewhat if some of the new abilities are to be used smartly.
