where is the Galaxy file?

I wanted to edit some of the maps like I used to do in vanilla by editing the .txt file. For me, this was simpler than using the galaxy editor. I'm trying to do this in rebellion but I can't for the life of me locate the galaxy file. I'm using Win7. Anyone know the file path?

The galaxy map files can be found in ...\Steam\steamapps\common\sins of a solar empire rebellion\Galaxy. galaxy.manifest can be found in the main SoaSE:R folder. Also, if you're going to edit the map files, just place the edited versions in the GalaxyForge folder, or make them into a mod.

Yes, never edit the base game files. Copy them and make changes.
