Missing Pieces

"Two starships against a station? I don't think they'd risk it."-Gul Dukat to Captain Sisko.

In an AAR I've been reading, I've seen starbase battles in Twilight of the Arnor. However, when I attack a starbase or a starbase of mine gets attacked, I just get the 'single ship veiw' (both sides fire one shot and then the loser explodes.)

In the same AAR, I've seen alien ships named (as in not Torian Fighter 117, but a proper noun.)

So, are these two features mods, or should I have them with the vanilla game?

These aren't mods. In order to watch your starbases in battle, what you need to do is enable Always Watch Player Ships In Full Battles, in the Interface Options screen. This should make all battles involving anything you own (not just fleets) show up in the combat viewer.

As for naming ships, it's something you have to do manually for both your and alien ships. There's no way to do it automatically, but there's no prohibition on doing it to AI ships either.

Thanks man! This should make my Galactic Civ experiance a lot more enjoyable. If I send by Battlecruiser against a fleet of Drengin heavy fighters I wanna see it!
