Is the menu for giving missions to other players supposed to be stupid? Just asking.
(If you don't understand what I mean: Most of the buttons don't do anyhing, I can only toggle between a few preset mission parameters)
I don't see the problem here. With me it functions just the way it should.
Well, the question is, how SHOULD it work? I remember being able to alter the time and exact amount of ressources etc. for the mission in diplomacy.
I have the same issue... the time button does nothing, only the "change level" button can change resources and amounts, etc...
Maybe it's an odd balancing choice from the dev's. It would help if someone could clarify whether he actually CAN change time etc.
You cannot, mission levels are pre-determined. All you can do is change between them. I'll see if we can update this screen to be less confusing.
The change level is for mission types with multiple levels, like attacking another factions ships.
Most of the buttons were disabled to prevent silliness like "Go destroy twenty tactical structures in 10 minutes. I'll give you 100 shiny credits if you do." That wasn't exactly balanced, so one of the Diplomacy patches locked the parameters based on the mission type being offered. This also meant the AI couldn't do the same thing to you, which meant much rarer auto-fail missions were offered.
