Rebellion Pre Orders

I pre-ordered this game several months ago, I need to find out how we go about verifying that I do have this preordered? I don’t have any past emails and I have tried to search on the site when you buy the game.  Is this pre order not linked to our accounts here? IC? How can I get this verified?

Im curious, i have bought all the previous games on impulse. I bought each game as they came out and have played them ever since. When I heard that there was a deal if you pre-ordered rebellion I bought it. Does that mean that I will be able to download it through impulse as with the rest of the sins games? Also, If that is the case it would help a lot if they could show the game in your games list and just say preorder next to it to avoid any confusion such as this. Kinda lazy if you ask me... both steam and origin do just that.

I was told by Sales that it will show up in Impulse when its ready.  But,, yes I do agree that It would be nice if it would show a pre order of the game in my games list.

We haven't decided yet if Rebellion will be available through Impulse when purchased direct from Stardock. Right now the plan is that you'd only be able to download it from us directly.

It'd be great if we could get it directly from you.  I'm not a big fan of Impulse, but love the Sins franchise... having only just discovered it this past week!

Would be nice if it was through impulse (or if you guys could make a new distribution platform). Mind Impulse is a load of Bullsh*t now since you brought Gamestop into it, removed all the class and uniqueness of Impulse.

Should be fixed in a few. They're working on the store server.

in the future are we going to be able to directly download past sins games we bought on impulse from your direct download? or are we stuck DL them from impulse. Cause if im only gonna be able to DL rebellion from you id like my other sins games to be available there too

So, Stardock and Ironclad are planning to make their own download and update site?  That's an interesting development.  Will all Sins sales and updates end up moving away from Impulse to this new system?

It's a Stardock system, not an Ironclad system.  Updates will be available from wherever you purchased the game from. In the case of Sins: Trinity and prior, you'll be able to get updates from either Stardock or Impulse.

Will we need to create new accounts on the Stardock site and re-register the earlier versions of Sins and the expansions (in order to be able to re-install them from the Stardock site)?  Would this mean that people will be able to safely uninstall Impulse?

When I pre-ordered Rebellion it brought me to the account page for the Stardock store after I was done.  With the quick glance I took then, I noticed they had Demigod, Elemental, and GCII serials numbers on it.  After seeing your post, I decided to check it again and found that Sins and both expansions were listed.

However, do note that they say to use Impulse to register and download them.  So Stardock does have the registrations, so unless there is some kind of contract stopping them they could put all their games up for download.

Check your account here.

No, but keep in mind that once Impulse was purchased by Gamestop that your account info was replicated over to them. So if you changed your Impulse account info, your Stardock account would not have updated (cause they're now separate).

Thanks for the reply yarlen :) Just a few more quick questions. Is rebellion an expac to sins or a stand alone game? In other words is me having the games installed on impulse going to effect my installation of this game? Or will i have to download all three games again and re-install them to get rebellion installed?

It is a stand alone expansion, this has been made clear several times now.

So: No, you don't have to install all your previous Sins games again to be able to install and play Rebellion.

So, still only digital distribution?  Can I walk into GameStop, throw cash at them and have the game added to my account and download at home?  If not, I won't be buying Rebellion.  I don't use Credit Cards period.

Use a temp card. Throw cash at it then use it. I do sometimes.

Not until it's released, no.  After that point I believe they would be happy to take your cash. ;)

Yarlen,

Any idea how much longer it will be until we see the beta released?  Sorry for asking, and yes im getting impatient.  Im really looking forward to the new game.

Also a quick question on a concern I brought up a few months ago about the game pausing after a few hours.  Have you guys isolated this in the new build of the game?

Thanks Yarlen, as always, good hearing from you.

"Pausing"? What exactly is it doing?

I have noticed that in very long games when there are hundreds of strike craft squadrons, the game often hangs for 2 or 3 seconds while they all decide what target to attack next.

We have issues with the game at times during a long game around the 2 to 3 hour mark.  The game will start pausing for long persiods of time.  usually lasting around 4 to 6 mins per pause.  after about 20 mins of this the game wil leventually stop pausing and run normal again.  really weird. havent been able to figure it out.
