Enough summer vacations, it's time for another FE update...

Ya it's been awhile since the last one.... We haven't even been getting animondays.

I'm going to call the yacht and see if I can get ahold of someone.....

Animondays will be coming back proper once the Beta gets out...I'm doing cutscenes (which need to stay under wraps) and pre-beta bug fixing (100% not animation related). I know that Derek has a pretty cool design journal in the works about magic, but I shant steal his thunder

I'm up to 3 journal entries on a side-project game that I've been making for my son (http://www.indiedb.com/games/helicopteropolis). I know it's not the same as some meaty journals on FE, but they may prove a somewhat  interesting read

How many bugs are left?  Did you guys fix the "not all goodie huts showing up on the cloth map" and "tactical combat freezes so the only way out is to click auto-resolve" bugs brought over from and still in EWOM?

As we transition from 'Implementation' to 'Iteration' I'm sure there are a solid 50+ bugs that need immediate attention then tons of polish bits that will need touched up. I don't think we've had issues with lockups in the new tactical system (but we do have communication issues to resolve).

Actually I don't know if it's good or bad that we know about it now.

 

In one way, we know what's coming and will check every day for it but on the other hand there will not be a surprise waiting for us like when you go to journals and see a cool journal on something.

Derek already said there soon will be a journal about the new magic system. "Soon. (is it just me or does that smiley seem a little crazy?" (21 of June)

You have to remember that when a developer says "soon", "any day now", "two weeks", or "imminent", what they really mean is 2-3 months.  That's how I figured the EFE Beta would be in September.  Brad said it would be "soon" a month ago so you do the math and you get September.
