Are there any 3DSmax/ Gmax scripts to import models?

i have been looking around for a while, but i cant find any sort of scripts to import the in game ships into a 3d editor program. im hoping there is one?

Sorry to hijack this, but I take it there is no way to get .mesh directly back into .XSI? Is there any way to simply preview mesh files then, or otherwise get coordinates if I wanted to add additional mesh points?
