Drngin's Starbase Mod GCII Ultimate Edition

Getting Drengin's Starbase mod to run with the ultimate edition

http://library.galciv2.com/index.aspx?c=15

How do you get the starase models in the external link (http://library.galciv2.com/index.aspx?c=15) to work with twilight of the arnor in the ultimate edition? I ran a search for the filename contained in the zip files, such as S0_EconomyStarbase4.shipcfg and found them in the folders  F:\GalCiv2Ultimate\DarkAvatar\Data\ShipCfg and F:\GalCiv2Ultimate\Data\ShipCfg  .

I replaced the files in F:\GalCiv2Ultimate\Data\ShipCfg  with the ones in the zip  and loaded a save and the starbases looked the same. Even after creating a new game of twilight of the arnor, the starbases looked the same. Any ideas?

It's a mod, you use it in a mod folder.

For example, the cultural starbase mod ZIP file has its new starbase designs in Drengins-Mods2/Data/ShipCfg.  So if you throw that in the game's mod folder, you would want to be pointing at the GalCiv2/Mods/Drengins-Mods2/ folder.

The reason it doesn't work if you overwrite the base game designs is because Dark Avatar has new starbase designs, so Twilight uses those instead (I guess).  The game will always use stuff from the mod folder if you're using mods, however.

Awesome. Is there a way to use several mods, such as this one KHSM at the same time? Or only one at a time?

If they don't use the same resources and there are no other conflicts, it's as simple as merging folders.

Yeah I did that. Worked fine thanks :) . Except some ship designs from the library seem to work, but others dont. Are some older designs not compatibel with the ultimate edition?

Yeah.  The ship design format changes between expansions I think.
