newbie question: is there a main menu button on the main screen

I know I have been playing galciv2 for too long.  I think I have forgotten how to tie my shoes let along learn a new game.

 

I sure wish there was a better tutorial.  And so I know how to save a game indirectly.  But is there a button on the main game screen that takes you to the main menu?
