So am I the only person who's noticed that the Planet Bombardment beams coming from the Skirantras seem to be fired from their side hangars? Or am I missing something when I look at them? And should I have posted this in technical?

Oh I remember thinking that was odd when i first noticed it so long ago...

Forgot all about it after a while.

Maybe they're just mounted on the sides of the ship.

That's what I thought at first, but then after some more examination, you can clearly see the beams being fired from the side hangars.

If you look closely at many ships especially capships the weapons often dont seem to match the models.

If you look at the other 2 carrier caps none of them have planet bombing gun models.

If you look at the Skirantra more u can see that the side wave guns use the model for pulse beam guns and there are no missile tubes on the front either (for comparision of pulse beam guns and missile tubes look on other Vas caps).

For a related strangeness look at the TEC Sova and Dunov they both have more and bigger guns facing foward but do more damage broadside.

These oddities probably occurred because the devs redesigned the weapons of the capships after they had already made the models.

For example kortul pulse beam banks are retarded too. It not only use it's side banks to fire at frontal targets, but this bank is used to fire at side targets at the same time... (one bank firing at two different targets at once is common situation...
