Cleaning the PC!

Now, don't take this the wrong way, but I was going through Impulse deleting games I haven't played in a while, when I realized a pattern was emerging:

Don't be angry Brad! =(

I was actually kind of shocked, because I am a big fan of Stardock and co's creations, and I've played the crap out of those games. World in Conflict (which I love) is probably the only one that didn't fit, but again I haven't played it in a while. It was just a funny pattern, so I thought I'd share.

Anyone else have fun stories of computer maintenance? I've got a doozy about a boss that if I shared would probably get me hunted down and killed!

Can't remember what I was uninstalling earlier this year. It was a game and I think I was doing an uninstall and re-installing it. I know what it was, Elemental. I couldn't update (unless I downloaded the whole 1.9 gig every time) and figured it was because of a bad install. I uninstalled it and it wouldn't re-install because it thought it was already there. Anyway in my finite wisdom I went into my registry and proceeded to delete anything related to Elemental and ended up deleting something crucial that screwed my comp up. My HD5850 wouldn't properly display anymore and I couldn't go online.

After that it was a complete re-install of windows and even than I couldn't get my HD5850 to work properly so I had to reinstall all my motherboard apps and that fixed the prob. Took me 7 hours.

Yes, I have found revo-uninstaller to be a very handy program to uninstall games, and also get the 'left over' files and registry entries safely.  I think I got it at c-net.  Its slow to load up.... but is quick and through in un-installing programs... 'completely.'

How is Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile? Isn't that a Tilted Mill game? I've been let down by them with Hinterland.
