Increase Maximum Name Legnth

Is it Possible?

I like giving my ships nice names but sometimes they dont fit so I have to think of another one.

I wanted to name my akkan "Manifest Destiny" but of course thats to long, can anybody tell me how to remove the constraints to the naming system?

These has been asked b4. Pretty sure thats hard coded.

I agree should be about 20 characters allowed.

I've noticed that the names your capital ships start with can be longer than the ones you can type in. So you could try adding Manifest Destiny to the default capital ship naming list (of course it would only appear at random). Though that might be to big even for those names.

If thats true, the random list can be shortened and only the names you want are in the list. Still just a work around and not a fix.

Yes I have done this before, on the names list it has TDN Night Flight and various others of legnth...
