So many Negitives.....So little Positives

Well, I'v been thinking on Returning to EvE Online. But There is so many Negitives and so little positives that are preventing me from doing that. Here is the list of the Negitives:

1. Need $$$ for a Time Card

2. Harsh, Harsh Community

3. HDD Space

4. What will I do on EvE (Not much of a Negitive or Positive)

5. How will I beable to Endure any....Negitive People on EvE (I can Endure alot on Sins)

Positive 1. Its Fun

Tell me what I should do!

Hey hey hey!

Glad to see someone considering coming back to EVE. If you want, I can hook you up with a 21 day buddy account. I'm always looking to bring people in/back in. (And that free month is reeaaaal nice too....  :P )

1. For the monies, it's only $20 for EVE. That's 1/3 the cost of your average retail game.

2. My advice for dealing with the community, is a: don't get too involved in the forums, especially in the crime & punishment. Also, stick in the starter corp. Yes, that is a 10% tax on your earnings, but you're war dec free and drama-free (unless you're a SWARTAN. In which case, everything goes.)

3. S'only like 2 gigs, right? It can even run off like an external hardrive if you can't wedge it in. I currently own a passport 300 or so gig one, and it runs fine off that.

4. What to do? Anything. But my advice, if you're pressed for money to pay for gametime IRL, is mission. Stick to PVE for a while, as you gain skills. Mission running is mad profitable, and pretty safe as long as you use mission guides and know your fits. This is why I'd advise going Caldari. They're the best PVE pilots in the game, and the Drake is to die for. Maybe you can supplement with mining when you have stuff to do, a standard old Osprey can rival a mining barge in yield. This strategy will work well in avoiding losses and maximizing isk: I'm on my 3 month, and I've only had to pay for the initial activation.

5. Just remember, when you turn off EVE, it's just a game. When you turn it on, it's srs busness.
But really, dealing with ragemonsters on EVE is just to laugh it off, and let it go. Sure, that was a 30 million ISK ship you just lost. That's okay, a few hours missioning will replace that. And like I said; pve and staying in starter corp will greatly minimize the drama and negative people. Unless you go out looking for trouble in lowsec, etc. Then it's your fault.

All in all...come back! Tyrannis is about to be released, so there's a ton of new options and fun stuff to try out, Incarna is supposed to be coming out sometime soon (as in within the next decade, heh), a whole galaxy of awesomeness is just waiting out there. Come back! Be a SWARTAN!

Yo Cadalancea and CombatElilte667! Think I will pick up the trial and test the EVE waters myself! Played for 6 months a long time back, like years back. But reason for my post is an update on the Tyrannis expansion, just released.

Press Release -- as shown on IGN May 14

After careful consideration, the EVE Online dev team has decided to delay the deployment of EVE Online: Tyrannis by one week to May 26th, and the market seeding of Planetary Command Centers (which will be used to allow players to start developing planets) to June 8th. This will allow the development team to finalize polish on the features and players to have a period of time to study the new gameplay, scan planets for resources, train skills needed for structures and make plans for which planets they want to. More about this decision can be found in a recent devblog by CCP t0rfifrans, EVE's Senior Producer. EVE Gate, the web-based social portal into EVE Online, will be available May 26th.

So, I'll probably start off the trial on May 27. Caldari ... hmmm. Have to look up the Drake. The only thing I hated about being Caldari was there was just so many other Caldari players. But I did not enjoy much being Amarr, which I started with. Well, plenty of time to readup.

I have both games and play EVE more if I'm honest, I have two charcters on my account one Minmatar and my newsest one is Gallente. Mission running is a pretty good bet to start, make sure you do all the tutourials and maybe even the Sisters of eve epic arc that is some major money. Skill wise negotiations is a good bet along with connections (improve money among PVE agents and standing among empires/PVE corps) leanring skills (decreases time taken to learn skills), and if you do go caldari, train frigate, cruiser, spaceship command and missle launcher skills as caldari ships fit missles more than hybrid turrets :D
