Sins 2 Capital Ship Specializations

Ok my question is this.  Assuming there are new cap ships in SOASE 2,  what do you think their specializations would be?  Using TEC as an example, Kol= tank,  Sova= air support,  Akkan= colonization/fleet support,  Dunov= fleet support,  Marza=siege.  

Also do you think the preexisting  designs will get a facelift?

Just curious.

I think that the specialisations will remain the same, but the names, appearances and abilities of some ships will be completely new. Some pre-existing designs will be updated because fans would be dissapointred if their favourite ships do not return.

I remember Mech Warrior years ago where one could customize every aspect of the unit. It could have slots like a star base that could be filled with different weapons, engines or special abilities.

That's a pretty cool idea.  That's the one thing that's missing from Sins that's in, say, Galactic Civ 2.  The ship building.  It'd be pretty cool to build one cap ship for, say, long distance single target sniping and another for up close AOE.

Well, if you upped the system requirements a bit (very easily done as the game would not be released for quite some time and if you follow Moore's law, computers should be vastly improved by that time), you could justify having larger amounts of guns among other things so that you might not have caps getting slaughtered by critical mass SC left and right.

 

Surely the Kol, Egg, and Mothership would come back, but I don't know about the others.  The Vasari caps would likeyl be the most unchanged.  Perhaps a new one or two while the TEC would likely have brand new ones that are more powerful.  The Advent would likely have even better synergies than currently.  Idk, my two cents...
