Just saw 2012...

We rented it this weekend...  Am I the only one who thinks it sets up what could be a pretty good television series?  If it picked up where the movie left off, it could be fun...if the right writers did it.

Oh yeah, certainly, it would be interesting.

When neutrinos caused the Earth's temperature to cool... nobody thought it could happen... three more times.

There's supposed to be some talk about a television spinoff, but nothing definite at this point.

And, just as with Deadliest Warrior, I shall be spending more of my time screaming obscenities at my television for airing something based on the rape of history.

Meh, IDK.

I couldn't buy the movie's overall plot: couldn't ever REALLY happen, TBH.

But, anyway, given that in the movie it DID happen, a series would be pretty interesting, seeing whether or not we could abandon our uneccesary hostilities and just finally become one, human race, or whether we carve up africa like the Europeans could be an interesting theme...

I'm in for 2012 for its effects. However, storywise, it doesn't really give that much impact for me. It was just another storytelling of a theory.

2012 was the funnest movie I've seen this year, until I saw Iron Man 2 last night. The kind of movie where you turn of your brain, sit back with a plate of nachos, and let the explosions wash over you.

And for the original topic, that'd be a great TV series. I love the whole rebuilding kind of thing, and the social impacts of it. One of the reasons I <3'd BSG for the first 2 seasons.

I'd watch at least a few episodes, but I'm with the Sanghelli, more funny than serious.  First off, the plane never would have made it out of the airport(First plane I mean) due to the lack of oxygen for the engines oince the explosion ate it up.  Nothing to glide on either.

Question:  I wonder if any submarines survived?  Would be an interesting plot twist for a series.  Big submarine, or a small fleet of subs, thinks teir countries are gone and start raiding the Ark survivors...
