And do U know how many noobs claim that they are exp players that played since Beta, and when you trust them and get in game with them, they die 10 times in a row and then rageq?

I'm with Morph here. I don't trust anyone anymore who has only a few games played simply because they claim to be oldschool and haven't played since reset. Many many people lie, and many many people think they're good when they're really really not. It's a sad state of affairs, but there's no way around it. Stats may mean very little but in a lobby it's all you have to go on. You can't trust anything anyone says.

well i never said i was good

i think i can play proper though, probably because i did 10 singleplayer skirmish before i even tried to get back online

So is fine with me either way, im just saying its not like dg has a million players

I'm sorry but you dont really have a choice.

Low game count = Get some games with noobs

Dude, there is honestly nothing stopping you hosting your own game titled something like '<50 games' or '<100 games' or something to that effect.  Go do it ^_^

Also, go with number of games instead of % for the most part.  Number of games is generally more meaningful (unless it's a players smurf account).

What, like Smurf_Demon? I can attest to this phenomenon as well. Another factor that should cause kicks, is less than 90% completion rate. Ugh...

Smurf_Demon = shred_demon? :O

What is the problem here?  It's next to impossible to find a game with all good players with acceptable pings unless you play during the 2 hours of primetime every night and you allocate 30 minutes to refreshing the lobby and waiting.  That or one of the two 'clans' happens to have more then 2 people on vent which is also rare.

Conversely there are 2-3 noob games being hosted almost every time I look at the lobby.

Yeah as been said there is no way around it, unfortunately; and i also noticed that there are more games for  new than experienced players.  Join one or host your own, because:

1.  Experienced ppl look for good games like anyone, a noob on one team will ruin the game for everyone, it wont even be close.

2.  You will never get a game going in first place, which is main reason i either kick noobs after explaining why, or take them on my team.  Players will join looking for good game, see someone with crappy stats and game count and leave.  Process repeats itself until the hosts gives up and kicks you.  He has no other option because people will not stay.  (on this note i can not stand players that leave at a slight disadvantage based on stats, grow some balls ffs)

Even the few of the brave among us will not stay with someone with a ridiculously low game count or % against a good team.  They might stay on a weaker team but not so weak that there is 0 chance to win.  I will play with 40 40 me vs 60 60 60, I will even be ok with a 30% teammate if he seems like he has a decent idea how to play (which means high game count) ...at least share monks:).  I would not want to play play a 50 50 50 vs 60 me and someone who is on his 10th game...

I might stay if you present your case and that you just started after a break, but most people will leave the lobby before you get to say anything.  Because of that host cant let you stay.  They want a fun fair game just like you, so no reason to get mad at them.  stomp few noobs and get on your way, better practice than scrimishes anyway:)

I love these posts.

Are you really threating us? 10 single player skrimishes? DAYUM you is a pro?

well maybe i should be able to kick you from this thread since im member 3670894 and u are 3763673

which makes me god and u a moron by the same reasoning

lucky for you i dont care about numbers let alone status

maybe i do care about a good game and the only pro i would like to be is pro demigod and anti kids

like u seem have the characteristics of the reversed (anti demigod and pro kids in case i have to spell that for you)

now theres a post u should try to like

i know your case m8 i just 'present my case' here so you all can think about it

u cant tell how good some1 is by looking at stats, u can piss alot of ppl off  easy tho by kicking them

if only demigod had alot of ppl...

im not pissed off btw

later when youre better you will see how beginner can spoil a game with their playstyle. thats why everyone acts like this.

I hate to agree with this, but it's true.

I really wish we had a decent matchmaking system to avoid this. I have no problem with someone whos new or just plays casually, but...in Demigod...it makes games NOT FUN at ALL. You can't carry people in this game. Its not like a newb just has a bad score, he has a bad score and gives the other team tools to destroy you.

I am not a beginner thats where your argument is flawed. I wont get any better since i already went through newbie stage like a year ago. I understand the basic concept of this game which means u have a build and u dont feed your opponent and u dont quit, isnt that the only requirement that matters? The stats do not show that. The problem is i have to play 50 games to get a proper game, which atm is too steep so i cba. On another note: I cant join games with a >50 requirement but i go into a "noobs" game like the host stated and i see 3 ppl with >50 games so how fair is that then? Anyway i gave up i cba to play noobs just like u guys. by the time i have 50 games im bored.(besides who is gonna guarantee me that by then the requirement hasnt inflated to >100 ?) I rather go back to wc3 or coh. Maybe ill check back in a year or so. edit: duh post lost all format soz about that

I was not pointing to you. I'm not saying I kick people with few games. If they have few games and I hosted a 'no newbs' game, I give them the benefit of the doubt and look em up online.

Regardless, I was just making the point that newbs RUIN games and if people think you're one (being incorrect, yes, but people are paranoid creatures) they will do what they think they need to.

Antikid, this thread has been noticed by many people. Why dont you try to play non-noob games now? People should be aware that you are not a noob by now.

then join the vent server and proof yourself. if you didnt play for a long time you get worse.

btw.  there is a lot more to know about the game. which cit upgrades are worth the money. which items and skills to get. you gotta see when its better to run or better to stay. you need field awareness to use locks and teleports in the right moment.

The metagame is the most important aspect I think. A lot of people in the near-beginner or mid-skill level will assume that they are winning or losing based purely on kill count. But, if they are behind two levels of warscore and the other team has had curr2 for two minutes while they don't even have curr1...it's a done deal.

Also, most players don't understand tagging and creep mining, or that a three wave cycle on a captured portal will reep amazing gold and experience benefits. Just knowing these things increases your value to the game, because it can't be explained in game, unless you are on vent.

Don't worry, the old Veterans are slowly betraying this game, which means that soon enough you'll be #1.
