[Bug] Advent Transcencia meteor strike

Today while playing Advent, the Trancencia meteor strike ability would not autotcast on enemy structures (in this case, a starbase).  It was in range, because I could manually cast it and hit it, no problem.  Can anyone else confirm?

Since I don't believe this is intended behavior, I'm labeling it a bug.

I have another question to the same topic.

You can bombard enemy planets with this ability but the range of it is only a bit larger then the gravity field of your planet.

How is it suppose to work ? Build the starbase in an enemy system to bombard the planet ? I think there are less complicated ways to achieve that...

Actually, I like the ability.  I have used it with a number of different strats.  One strat is that I can go in with my fleet and clear a planet, then move on while building a starbase in the grav well.  My fleet isn't tied down for a few minutes bombing the planet - the sb will take care of it.  There are other uses too.

It's seldom used, that's for certain, but if you do build a starbase to consolidate your push it can often be finished before you've completed bombardment, so it does speed things up.
