REGARDING... (devs plz read)

{SB}=>Ferdie

Today in an already screwed up game hosted by {SB}=>Ferdie, on a random huge single...just as everyone greened, the host (Ferdie) kicked 1 player from game then hit start button (before anyone could ungreen). The player (not on Ferdie's team) was one of the 2 skilled players on the other (not Ferdie's) team. The result was a stacked game, that in my opinion is worse than any smurfing or afking.

DEVs...is there anyway a patch can be made to somehow keep hosts from doing this? Like perhaps a 5/10 second delay after any and all 'booting' to allow greened players to ungreen? -thankyou for any response

Below is the list of players that were in the game. If any witnesses read this post, please respond with your 'side'. I had respect for Ferdie but no more. That was the most ridiculous thing ive ever came across in ICO. This only adds to the many reasons why sins multi is such a small community.

You're absolutely certain he was kicked and didn't leave?  That's pretty low, if it's true.

In any case, I'd have simply left that game.  Win % means nothing, you can just stomp easy AI's for wins, so it doesn't matter in the long run.  It's the reputation you build with the community that matters, and if Ferdie's doing underhanded stuff like this now, that will get around.

Ferdie admitted to booting and actualy was rubbing it in during the game...lol. Said "make it funner"...

General Greivous called him out for it at the begginning of the game and noone defended Ferdie including Ferdie himself...

it was origionally a 1v4v5

team 1 = a noob (lol dont even ask)

team 2 = 4 noob 2 skilled (minus one skilled due to boot and u get 4 noob and 1 skilled)

team 3(Ferdie's Team) = 3 Skilled

i dont get the teams either they were weird

AS darvin said, just leave and dont join another one of his games. Or you could take a stab back at him. While I don't condone AFKers, if he's going to be a jerk, nothing says you can't be a jerk back to him ;) . Eitherway, records mean nothing. So if someone rigs the game, just leave. Its often such a pain to get a game going sometimes that people will be angry about remakes for intentional game rigging. Play it up and maybe you can get him booted from the next game. Best thing you can do is quit, start your own game and catch the fallout from that one (people also quitting) then play another game without him.

Personally i just wanted to get the word out.

And ask the devs if anything can be put in for a future patch (see my suggestion on post ^)

So really, you just want a countdown timer after the host pushes "start game", right?

Seems reasonable enough, though I don't know how difficult it would be to implement.  I wouldn't think it'd be that hard, but then I've never looked at the code.

Who did he kick, and why?  Were they arguing, was there any talk back and forth between them?  In any event, wehat deciever said pretty much goes for me too:

End of quote

A delay before start will accomplish nothing I'm afraid.  If a host wants to be a dick and ninja-boot someone, he will continue to do so, regardless if there is a delay or not.  Only recourse is to avoid that host, period.

A delay after start would do no good. Im talking a delay after a boot...

Welcome to Sins MP.  Ferdie is on my personal ban list.  I don't play with him.  The bad thing is, the list of people I won't play with is longer than the list of people I will play with, so I really have trouble getting games.

A simple solution would be to un-green after a kick, unless MP is plagued with far more kicks than I'm aware of!

Can't take that sort of thing seriously.  If he mucks up the teams like that then just quit the game immediately and go start a new one, without him.  Gotta laugh this stuff off.

End of Derek06's quote

I meant a delay after the host presses start, allowing any player to abort the start sequence during the countdown. (Also, no changes can be made during the countdown.)

This sould accomplish your stated goal because then you would have X seconds to notice "oh, he booted someone" and stop the countdown.
