Avatar pic not uploading

Hi,

I hope I am not missing something obvious -but every time I try to upload an avatar, I get this progress bar saying 'finalizing picture' for a few seconds, then it disappears, and in the box where my avatar should be it says: Please upload a new image.    ???

I have tried with about a dozen different pictures with the same results. (the images meet all the requirements, but just never appear)

I have my anti-virus on high, is that causing this maybe?

well, it's not my anti-virus. set it to normal, and it still doesn't work...

How big is your avatarpicture (px x px / kb) ? -perhaps to big for here?

I knew there wasn't going to be anything really intresting about any new post in this thread (not from what people said, its just a 'how do I upload' so nothing really intriguing here).

I just came back to see StoneyMcFish's hilarious avatar :D
