If you have entrenchement v 1.041 then you place or unzip the mod to this folder:

C:\Users\[YOUR NAME HERE]\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-Entrenchment v1.041

You can find this location by clicking on START ---->YOUR NAME---->APP DATA---->LOCAL----->IRONCLAD GAMES--->SINS OF A SOLAR EMPIRE---->MODS-ENTRENCHMENT V1.041

If you click START--->Your Name  but, do not see the APP Data folder then you will have to click on ORGANIZE from the command bar----->FOLDER AND SEARCH OPTIONS---->the VIEW tab and then make sure that the round button for SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS is checked.   If you do this you will then be able to see APP DATA.

Once you have the files in the correct folder you then run Sins and then go into options and simply enable the mod you wish to play.  If this is the first time you've tried to install a mod you may have to run the game and enter the option---> mods   and then exit the game and then run the game again and they then should show up.  I hope this helps...

You also might want to check and make sure that the mods will not conflict first.

Yes...make sure that the mods match the version of Entrenchment or vanilla Sins that you are running.  overlooked that one.

i've got the same problem with the mod pack "distant stars"

the latest version 0.995 is compatible with entrenchment 1.041

but there is not result after the mod is enabled

i've done all that's in the readme :

the mod is in appdata\local\ironclad games\sins of a solar empire\mods-entrentchment v1.041\distant stars beta 0.995\

@ Camroon.....I don't really use that mod.   Maybe there is some sort of research prerequisite that you have to meet in order to get the benefits that the mod advertises......although I bet you looked into that.  There may be something you have to do with the 'Checksum' but, i'm not too familiar with that.  That last sentence is directed at Camroon and Melchi32.

Also, is your vanilla sins patched to the latest version......make sure that your mod and vanilla sins version is the same.   Make sure your mod is meant for Vanilla Sins.  I haven't really encountered the problem your having.....these are just some of my guesses so....forgive me if they don't work or if you have tried them.

End of Melchi32's quote

what is the sub folders?

fx is there a

appdata\local\ironclad games\sins of a solar empire\mods-entrentchment v1.041\distant stars beta 0.995\GameInfo

If the mod is in a subfolder then it won't have any effect as the game can't find any of the usual folders like Mesh, GameInfo, Sound, String, etc. and then the game will be the same as usually.
