Need PUG and team PUG titles

I'm far from a uber player, but I'm really looking for a game where the team is about teamwork more.  Hard to get pre-mades going, but I do find a good amount of peeps that are interested in a PUG, and will play as a team.

I realize a game is going to suck when I'm typing up a storm with "b", "ere" (focus), "I'll get curr1", "recharge", "omw oak", etc... and get told "you talk way too much".  When the only thing they ever type is "f*(#!  I should have gotten that kill!", the game is lost, unless the other team is worse.

Maybe an opinion, but 99% of players need to stop playing Regulus.  THere is no "build" for regulus.  1% of the good players can push DGs around with reg (you're not the 1%, face it).  The other 99% are looking to snipe and hide. In a fight, Reg can really help out, but if you're running back and forth, afraid of them getting close to you, that means you're not shooting.  That means your buddy is taking 2v1 to the face, while you worry about yourself.  That means you look to snipe a running DG, to get a kill and think that means you're "pro".  If you're using all your mana, or even most of it, throwing mines on creeps, you're not playing well.  Cause when it's 2v2, you need to be throwing mines on them, right away, constantly.  You need to be cranking on the auto-attacks.  You need to NOT have max HP and armor, but speed and if you start getting hit, run back and come in again.

I'll TP on the tower behind you, at 1/3 hp, just to throw you a shield and we both can run.  What I'm tired of is the assholes that go 2v2 with you, burn up their mana, and just turn and run, never typing a word.  This is a technical term, referred to as "being thrown under the bus".  Because now you have the headstart, and you're teammate is getting 2v1 ganked, trying to run.

If you just read that part, and thought either: "Wow, I never thought that I'm screwing my teammate!" or "It's that person's fault for not running sooner!", yes, you are the asshole.  Because running isn't about NOT dying, it's about what's best for the team.  Read the fight early, if you're getting torn up, type "b" and then go.  If you have any slow ability, shield, or anything, get near the tower and turn back and use it for your buddies escape.  Don't just run like Forrest Gump for the crystal.  If you're oak, and shield is cooldown, if you can, use surge and then slow the fastest enemy DG.  You just sped up your buddy and slowed them, he might make it.

So maybe we can get a few games hosted with "Team PUG" and boot out the known ass munchers, that are considered "pro bus throwers".  Less "me me me" and more "take it for the team".  If a fight will turn out as you will die, but your buddy will kill both enemy DGs-- and you think running is the answer, you're still the asshole.  Sacrificing yourself for 2 deaths is a small thing compared to the tactical advantage.

Look at it this way: If you're getting torn up in a 2v2, and you're pretty sure you'll die trying to run... don't run.  You will not do any damage, and die anyway.  Focus with your buddy, burn up your nuke dmg abilities, try to benefit him.  If they get you, but he gets one of them AND runs the other off the flag, your team gets the advantage.

well said im to the point if a reg joins my team im gone it will just save me a lot of wasted time team work seems to be a thing of the past every one thinks that their way is the best and refuse to listen and agree and there the game ends.

if a player joins my team and he have chosen Regulus or Demon Assissin and he is not a top-player, I always ask him to change for a easier DG, if he doesnt change, I leave the lobby, too. Saved me a lot of losses.

Yes, probably the biggest problem is that people don't communicate. Normally when I pug I'll be almost the only one talking ("b," asking who will get cur1--which is invariably me in pugs--, etc). It is just sad to see when people who have a shield/heal/stun just run off and leave their buddy to die. I play Oak so I can hardly count the number of times I have saved my allies either by shielding or doing Pen/Surge (which can give them enough speed to escape).

I've seen some good Regs and DAs, but unless I know the player I am a bit loathe to do it. Especially since they only work effectively if used cohesively in a team...which rarely happens if you don't know the player.

Mike9102 and I play a 2-man premade a lot, and if the newcomers will read Cind3er's post, I'll have a lot less yelling in my ear. It's almost like Mike had been molested as a child by a lousy Regulus. Nothing like looking at a good team with Erebus, Oak, Sedna, and your partner wants to play Reg. There are a few good ones, but not too many. The 'in your face' Reg would be a bigger help when their 3 power DG's decide to push our way.

As far as typing to your partners, it makes a better game, better teamwork, and a generally more fun experience. Played a 3v3 with Mike and Dreamed the other day. Dreamed was quick to communicate. He watched me chase beast past the opposing gold flag and towers, and to the portal for a kill. While i'm turning the portal flag, he was quick to ask if i had a way out. I had a lock and scroll and was going there anyway before beast was nice enuff to get in the way, but it was great to know he would have helped me out if i needed it.

Yes, I am a reg player primarily and hate pretty much all other reg players.  Most reg players think they should just snipe and farm, but never help out teammates, worse yet are the ones who spend all there mana constantly sniping erebus and sedna with 4 monks sitting there.  Or hell, only getting mana helms, no armor or speed and nver getting cit upgrades.

But let's be honest shitty players are shitty players.  Lots of noobs love the look of reg and play him with 0 skill.  But I have come across UB who go out with less hp/armor than me at lvl10 and try to front line.  I have teammates who don't help me push when I am slow stacking and tossing mines.  I have been left to 2 or 3 v 1 to defend the health flag while my teammates farm.  I have had players not bother to get 1 more hit in so snipe can get the kill.  The problem isn't so much that reg is weak, trust me he is, but also that when you have shitty skill less players it becomes more evident with reg, TB, and some of the others.

Very true, trig.  99% of reg players are in dreamland.  They think the game will win or lose itself, but their job is to get kills and farm creeps, then buy stuff for themselves.

I'm about ready to reach through the monitor when I see reg throwing tons of mines on creeps, then here comes a 2v2-- "oom" and they just turn and run.
