No Campaigns or Tutorials?

I just purchased GalCiv 2: Utlimate Edition from Impulse, downloaded and installed on my Windows 7 64bit machine and went to play. However, the Tutorials button is greyed out, and the Campaigns window has no campaigns.

I searched and found one topic advertising a registry fix, but it's from August of 2009, and I don't know whether that's still a true fix or not for my version. Which, strangely enough, reports as 1.53 in the lower left corner when I load the game, but the Impulse Product Page reports the version as 2.03.

If the tutorials are not being downloaded with the game (last someone reported this issue, they seemed to be working fine), please contact support@stardock.com.

Nevermind, I downloaded the suggested registry edit and took a peek. All it was doing was adding a language specification, so I attempted it, and now the game works fine. Version 2.03 like normal and tutorials and campaigns functioning.

Thanks, though. That kind of thing really should be available in a sticky somewhere, since it seems like the problem isn't an isolated one.

Hmm, not an isolated incident... Would have been nice if you had just included a link for said fix there Jordanjay :P

...this sort of thing should have been fixed a while ago... But the registry fix does indeed work.

 

XP Pro 32Bit, so it isn't some screwy windows 7 error or something...
