My CD arrived at my door in Belgium (Europe)... I paid for the CD on March the 26th, 2003 - so all those that are still waiting, be patient...

I did have to pay an additional (tax) fee which made this game quite expensive -- good thing, it's a good (replayable) game ;p

I maybe am also interested in joining an Empire... And since I am european, I think the EA could quite fit to me... However, I hardly submited games in the past and am not able to beat Maso.

That's no problem, we game for fun. Besides, we can also retake the number 1 Metavers spot by amount of players instead of high scores. Both will be the quickest though. And remenber that you play for fun!

Anyway, every European or when you used to live in Europe is welcome to join the Alliance.

Don't worry about score, folks. Nobody's empire gets hurt if you are a low scorer. Just join who you feel like joining. Any empire worth its salt won't judge you based on score.

Ask around based upon the type of empire you wish to join. As a general overview, the major types of empires are:

Nationalistic empires based on citizenship or association with certain regions of Earth

Group-based empires based upon other internet communities and web sites.

Theme-based empires that basically are centered upon playing a role on the Metaverse stage

Cults of personality empires that are centered upon the founder.

There are probably more types, but that is all I can think about at the moment. If anyone wants to jump on in and add some insights, please do. It would help me in compiling Gerakken's Guide to Empiring.

Now G-Force, your nationalistic enthusiasm cannot be faulted. But surely the concept of Belgium ruling anything is just a little out-of-this-world.

Can I suggest something more realistic like:
"Go join the European Alliance. Belgium can be ruled!!!"

Belgium is kinda in the MIDdle of WESTERN Europe. Join the Mid-Western Confederation Empire and you can be our European franchise player! ;)
