Forge Tools 3

Quick question. Help? :S

I just downloaded Forge Tools 3 in the hopes of creating my own maps and edit the game even further, but it doesn't work. None of the applications that came in the forge tools works. The Dev.exe, GalaxyForge.exe, ParticleForge.exe... None of them work. :/

I even downloaded them invidually to see what was the matter, but they have the same problem. What happens is i open the application and immediately a "Microsoft Windows - Galaxy Forge has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem" error pops up. The same happens with all three of them, but with the Dev.exe this error comes up: This application has failed to start becuase d3dx9_36.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Any help?

google the file, d/l it, and then try again. that's really all you can do.

Ok, here is how you get each of them to work:

Developer.exe -> there is a seperate link to the latest developer.exe files which is below the main files, you have to copy the cotents of the developer folder into the Main program folder

Particle forge -> copy and paste the contents of the folder into the Main program folder, cuase it needs some of the dll that are in the main program folder

Galaxy Forge -> as long as the icons folder and the galaxyserinodef file are in there you can run it ferom the that folder immediately

do you have all of the latest .net framework 3.5?

if it still does not work, right click it, go to properties, and click the "compatability" tab. Check "run the program in compatablility mode for:" and select Windows XP (service pack 3)

Hit ok and try again. hope this helps!

DUDE! You have to set it in MAIN SINS FOLDER

Ie. C:/ProgramFiles/SinsofASolarEmpire

Copy-paste the entire dev folder right into your sins main folder THEN itll work. Right now your asking it to load with no back files what so ever!

actually shadow, it doesn't need the main sins folder to run it.
