Why I left Demigod.

The game simply does not have the option of removing AI take over of a dropped players demigod.  Add this, I will come back to the community.

Until we have a real ladder system, I don't think feeding AIs are a problem.

how does this even make sense?  i think it's a problem when my fun is further ruined because i get suicidal AI teammates.

Its a reflection on you that you can't cover for them even if it means babysitting them sometimes..

Demigod has a million problems, but at the core it is the best real time strategy game I have ever played.

I couldn't agree more. I hope we will see an expansion and probably Demigod II with all the goodies for proper team matches, modding...

It's not even a real time strategy game...well, not really.  I wouldn't say it's better than Starcraft or WC3.  I wouldn't even say it's better than Dota.

But it is pretty fun...

If somebody drops you can just leave if you don't like playing with AI, since you are playing the game for fun and not to get good ladder stats and win every game you play. Leaving wont ruin your fun, just join another game, the only thing you missed cos of the dropper was your potential win.

If you like the competition in the game and aim for rank1 in the ladder(you play mainly to win), then AI feeding would be a problem since AI=loss unless you play against retards.

I thought that was starcraft?

Anyways.. I'm out too.. moved on to blazblue, where I don't have to worry about competence of teammates. I can just blame myself now when I lose. I'll be back when working ladder and a couple new DGs come out; basically, when hell freezes over.

Heretic.

Starcraft is average at best. You don't have to look more than one forum away to find a vastly superior RTS in the form of SINS.

It's not a real time strategy game. It's a tactical RPG game.

Major problems with the game:

- lack of clan support

- nothing that really discourages ragequitting (sorry but people wont stay in the game just to get a tiny participation bonus, you have to penalize them for prematurely abandoning the game)

- only 8 demigods

- only three good maps, and only one of them played in more than 50% of games (cataract)

- crashes in lobby and in game

It's one of the best games I've ever played. Frankly, I like it a helluva lot better than DotA, but that might be just because I'm burnt out on it.

P.S.: 6.61? Already? Guess we can kiss batrider's effectiveness goodbye.

Indeed. Well, maybe not a million, but some ;). And AIs taking over is one of them, so I can't really blame the OP. Unfortunately Stardock/GPG insist on their philosophy of including the AI in the game.

it is not a rts  no way it is  rts  involes possitioning  tactics like the pincer stratergy or flanking  stratergy is all about  out smarting ur oponent  but  this is move about  out bluffing ur oponent  like if u kill him twice most people  will try to avoid the person who killed u

i wouldn't say the core of the game is good i would say the idea of the game is good  millions is proberly a understatement

Yep.

This is a 3rd person shooter game, period. You control your dude and your eqquipment, period.

The company calling itself rts is wishful thinking. Players calling it rts are either misinformed or mindless fanbois.

actually i would have to say this is more like a mmo then a  fps  but  fps is closer to it then  rts   this game uses skill coop  upgrades  items all the  stuff in most mmos  the only difference is that this one u  dont upgrade ur character over time as in  u dont grind for lvling

personaly there is no genre that goes with this game and the moba   is a shit term for this game  and it goes with way too many game types all across the board

hmm so i guess mrps (multiplayer role playing stratergy) is the  closet i can thing of that  fits the game

Diablo isn't an RTS, this game isn't an RTS.

this is more like a mmo    diablo 2 was i think one of the first mmos
