pls give us a demo
im trying to get my friends into this game but i cant without a demo
for people that havent played dota the concept is hard to grasp
They are going to, the demo will be based on the 1.1, and the 1.1 is currently tested by stardock, so it will arrive soonish.
I've never palyed DOTA or WOW.
Concept is easy just need to read some forum guides,
see some youtube movies, play some skirmishes against AI or
against friends that know the game, choose a startup Demigod to play with,
try some builds and they will be fine.
I don't think he is saying he needs to be convinced he wants to convince his friends 
I'm in a similar situation, I have a friend who I believe will get the game as soon as he realises how great the concept is - but he doesn't know it yet - videos never do a game justice. With the demo I would suggest DG players get a discount voucher again to help encourage friends into the game again.
For Stardock - any ETA on a demo - aiming for this week, or later?

i have the game
i get alot of online friends that like to try it
they are not sure if they will like it but they like the looks etc
having no demo puts them off
i have to admit i tried warez version first before i bought it
but is not something i like to recommend
The demo will probably arrive within the next few weeks (alongside or shortly after 1.1).
