That's odd as NPD numbers show Demigod in top 10 NPD for May, second month in a row.

Rank #8 in May.  It was rank #7 in April.

Very odd... wonder which is right.  Also recall this does not include any digital sales.

At least it's selling well, the more sales, the more players, the more free demigods and content the more smiles.

also... starcraft battle chest?  really?  ugh... shows what the hype of SC2 will get you i guess.

subtracting out very old titles (more than 18 months) and also subtracting out genre and audience mismatches like Sims and casino games this is the list i get.

1. WoW: Lich King

2. Empire: Total War

3. Spore

4. Left 4 Dead

5. Demigod

6. Fallout 3

7. Dawn of War 2

8. Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor

so for the target audience that Demigod was designed for its doing pretty well.

As someone else pointed out in the replies, these seem to only count physical sales as we would see more from steam on that list. Regardless, I'm glad Demigod is getting the recognition it deserves. So far I've managed to get 10 of my friends on this game, and with the annoucment of community modding being added summer (patch 1.2), I can now go ahead and confidently push the rest of my friends to pick this game up.

See Frogboy, no need to worry. Go ahead and green light more updates and fund the heck out of this game ;)

I think kotaku is correct because in May, Demigod only show up in the weekly charts 1 out of the 4 weeks.

So I don't see how demigod can end up in top 10 overal for May.

Do you think when DG is as old as Srat Craft we'll still see it ona top 10 list? lol

I know I'll still be playign DG in 5+ years... but only if there is someone to play it with

End of Bloodsoda's quote

This game is one of the best i've ever played, people really
don't know what they're missing ( and i m an FPS player ).
Just need more content - MAPS/DEMIGODS.

I think if this game will sell over 300000 it's a big success.

Spore? WTF?

MORE CONTENT? YES PLEASE!

Can't believe Spore is really on that list, that game sucks, it gets boring really quick
