Need help installing mods

I am running boot camp on my macbook pro (windows on a mac) and I can't find the AppData and Local folders on my computer.  I can only find my user folder and the downloaded file in the downloads folder but I have no idea how to get it to work on sins: entrenchment. Help?

those folders you are looking for are hidden, so you'll have to select unhide files.  not sure how to do it in a mac though, but you have to unhide your folders

I've unhidden the folders but I don't know how to actually get the mods to work with sins.  I've just been dragging the download file into the folder but that hasn't been working.  Do I need to do something to the file before I can play it?

The actual mod files need to be in a folder within the mod folder for the game to find it, name the folder whatever the mod is for convienience's sake.

I put the mod files in the folder and the folder shows up in the game but the checksum is still 0.

The checksum = 0 could just mean is a cosmetic only mod-- I use bailknight graphics and volumetric explosions with a 0 checksum.

you also might NEED to extract the mod from the downloaded archive. I suggest either winrar OR 7zip as most mods use either program

Ok so I accidentally told the computer to use sins as the default program to open the download file and I'm not sure how to change that.  I don't know if this is preventing winrar and 7zip from recognizing the files but neither of them will extract the files.  Sorry about my noobishness guys but I really want to play 7ds.

open 7zipmanager then browse to the archive and double click on it to open the archive then click on extract then  click on the little button with the three elipses(...) in it to open a browse for folder window and brose to te location you want to extract the files to then click on ok on the browse window then ok on the extract window 7zip will noew extract all of the folders into the folder you browsed to

to change the default program for archives again in 7zip click on the word tools at the top of the window, then click on options, a window will open listing all the file types that zip can work with, click on the button neer the bottom labeled select all then click apply then click ok

Hey harpo I just wanted to thank you for helping me both in this thread and in danman's.  You've been really great and I'm just now redownloading the file and I'm going to try to do what you suggested.

Everything seemed to work and the checksum is somewhere in the thousands (not sure if that's normal) but when i clicked apply changes after enabling the mod my computer froze.  I don't know if it just takes forever to start the mod but anyway I don't think there's anything else you can do.  Thanks for all your help. :)

cyberguy1 which mods in which version of sins?

there are mod breaking differences in entrenchment between 1.01,1.02 & 1.03, but I am writing a utility to copy AND update mods to later versions(with the versioned mods folders)

the current 7deadly sins is for sins 1.05 only and currently NOT for any version of entrenchment, danman is currently working on moving  7deadly sins to entrenchment and he is on my beta team for my utilities
