Clanwars.cc Demigod League Now Available!

Head on over to http://www.clanwars.cc/league_home.aspx?GID=65 and sign up!

First you will need to sign up your own account and join the league. Next, you will need to create or join a clan.

All rules can be viewed here: http://www.clanwars.cc/league_support.aspx?GID=65#rules

Basic rules are: Favor items disabled unless both teams agree to them. Conquest game mode unless both sides agree to another game type. All players must put your clan tag in your name for it to count. All other games modes must be set to default. Losing side reports a loss, failure to do so results in a point deduction. Post questions here if you have any.

You have to go find other clans to play against. To do so, use the in-game chat channel DEMIGOD-LIVE or use irc, irc.stardock.com #demigod-live

I highly recommend using IRC instead of the in-game chat system, but they both work.

Good luck to all clans!

Is there any way to get around all of those ads on that site? It's a little on the distracting side.

Edit: Doh... I haven't grabbed Adblock on this computer yet.

I could use a Banner if anyone wants to throw one together

Guys im gunna say it now that clanwars.cc is an awesome site, and we should be grateful there is a Demigod league.

If your looking for some competitive games I really advise you to sign up. From my past experience with other games, clanwars.cc has just been awesome.

What kind of dimensions are we talking about, iPhire? Content?

how stupid.

Yeah. I'm not too big a fan of tags these days. That's mainly because I haven't been a part of a clan that I have a strong attachment to in a long time though.

If you think you can do something better, knock yourself out

just remember to include your name on any work you put up in the bottom right corner for credit and I'll let you guys take artistic freedom with the rest of the content. Just stick to Demigod-type content

@StAcK3D_ActR: If you can think of a better way so that people can't say "OH THIS WASNT A LEAGUE MATCH" I'm all ears.

just say it before the match starts "this is an official league match, you must play by the rules stated on http://www.clanwars.cc/league_support.aspx?GID=65#rules, your results will be recorded."

its not your problem if someone cries that they didnt think it was a league match anyway.

Links go nowhere.

@Stacked: That would work very well if we had proper replays with a chat log. But you can't prove that you told somebody something.

it should be said before every official league match, if not, then it wouldnt be an official league match would it?

maybe a bot or something?

I'd love an IRC bot to setup matches, if someone can program it.

I.E. 2 teams, one team= Hatter, Phire... team two= ActR, Abbott

.team PK Hatter, Phire

.team RoX ActR, Abbot

.challenge RoX

First is up. 2 and 3 are 404'd

No problem!

StAcK3D_ActR,  its the only way to ensure people dont bitch about whether or not the game was it.

What if someone forgets to clearly state that its a league game? Or maybe the loser of the match will deny it ever being an official clanwars match. There are so many problems its not even funny, and the only way to 100% ensure there is NO confusion about matches is to make sure that the game only counts with tags on. This rule wasnt implied just for the sake of it - too many cases kept popping up in the other clanwars.cc league which is why this rule was adopted.

In order to participate in the clanwars league you need to be in a clan anyway, why wouldnt you wear the tag. If you really have a problem with clantags, why dont you just put your tag on for the clanwars match, then take it off when its done.

the easiest way without clan  gaytags  is to make custom matches says offical league match between  blah blah and blah blah tags

but the players wouldn't have to have the tags in there name as long as they remember them and you could simple shove a paswword like boobs are here

so that the noobs dont join and change it for each game so only the teams  who are playing would know not exactly a hard  thing to do

there shouldnt be any "what if's" in an OFFICIAL league game.

personally i dont think it is that official, if people do start whinging about "oh this wasnt a league match".

i do agree with si1foo on this, the name of the game could also be changed to a common league name, with passwords.

my name is too long >.<

if a bot could be made for your league, i think it would sort most of your problems out.

anyway, i am all for a demigod league, it is a great idea.

i like the idea  but i anit changing my name   just to join a team i woud proberly hardly play with then after the league would proberly have to change it back

Im really confused. If two players play each other, and one says "Ok this is definately a league game ok?" and the other goes "ok". When the game is over how do you prove he said that? You cant. It just doesnt work. Why do you keep bolding "official"? I dont really get your point (no being offensive I just dont really understand).

+1
I like that idea. Should be implemented into the official rules.

How would the bot work? Everyone who joins the clanwars.cc league has to download a bot and activate before each game. Even if there was a bot, it wouldnt solve anything. What would the bot do?

u gave him a +1 for what is said  that is wierd
