There is Celestial Bodies, Distant Star, and Mad Scientist also. Bailknight and Manshooter have graphic mods. Manshooter has The Last Stand Mod. I think Urban Expansion is updating so it may be a choice also. Dawn of Victory is another Total Conversion Mod.

I am from the 7DS team... and thank to say that our mod is excelent...

BUT

all the mod have his own value... no one is better that the other...

About 7DS, the base of the mod is called Solar sins... both are for sins 1.05... but if you wish use a more recent version of sins, you have a non official Solar sins for 1.1 at http://files.filefront.com/Solar+Sins+v20/;13149386;/fileinfo.html ... Solar sins is 7DS with the graphical effect, the new planets, the new bonus but without any new races...

About other mod, you have numerous one... need to see what your sins version is !!! Personaly, i like the stargate mod from Doylnick... great coding work and lately, the new models are coming to life... if yo are more about a lot of research, i remember a mod called something like "mad scientist"...

Seriously, you need to say more about what you seek in sins... some mod are more for little map, some other more for the long play... some for old version of sins, some for the last one... some are more graphical, some are more tactical... really the choice is too much huge for say what is the best for you without knowing what you wish...

entrenchment only

Entrechment mods are coming out, but still relatively few and far between until we get a developer.exe update.

I've a gameplay mod (Relatively little new in ships etc, insomuch as gameplay changes and research tweaks) that wants to be Entrenchment, but I'd rather wait till it wasn't like pulling teeth to update. ;)

to be honest, the devs should consider making the graphics and the volumetric mod a standard by including them as the files in the update instead of having to take the mod dev version and making part of your own

You will be surprised by our download number... and about entrenchment version, Danman have announce a possible alpha release for the end of these month... will not have a lot of new material but it will be entrenchment compatible... reason of the slowdown is that the modtools are not yet released for the last version of sins and entrenchment... Stardock need to make a effort for release tools in the same time that the update... and maybe correct the pdf files who are not more accurate when related to textures... someone new to modding following the instruction of the pdf file will have their ship having the color of the team all on it !!!

well, it being for sins 1.05 is a downside :typo:

A version for Entrenchment 1.02 is in the works.

Given the size of the mod, it'll take a while. ;)
