Lost all my favor points again...

When will this be fixed?

Hey all,

Haven't seen a thread about this in a week or so, so I thought I'd just mention I lost all my favor points in Pantheon again.

This is the third or fourth time this has happened to me, and OrleanKnight's suggestion on editing a prefs file for points doesn't work in pantheon anymore.

I play a lot of games, and should have at least 1500 points by now if not 2,000, but instead I have 30. Again.

This is discouraging to the point of me temporarily quitting the game, because as Sedna the 2,000 favor point cloak is much better than any t1 favor item I get. It puts me at a disadvantage in relation to most other skilled players and frustrates me to no end.

Sorry to QQ about it like this, but yeah this is really making me dislike this game.

When will a fix that works be issued?

You do realize that stardock is the publisher not the maker...

Its GPG and Stardock, can't level the blame on one group.

Stardock/GPG did not reply on any of these threads to recognize the existance of the game breaking bugs related to favor items.

 

The issue was announced as fixed, but it clearly isn't.

So far in my experience what 'breaks' favor is switching back and forth between sp/lan games and mp.

I've had luck with creating copies of the .prefs file and swapping them in and out. Use one for sp and one for mp.

You can also just delete the prefs file each time, but you will never accumulate sp favor and it loses achievements and tournaments in progress.

Anyway if you know how to make a batch file and use it to do that copying magic and start the game, you can use two batch files and two shortcuts to make it more or less work. At least, it's been working for me that way.

Initially, messing with the prefs file worked for me, too. Now it doesn't. I can change the prefs file to whatever number I wish and there is no corresponding change to favor online. Coupled with the fact that my favor resets to 65ish points after each game I'm gonna wait on playing DG til' this is truly fixed.
