Why can't I run the Sins of a Galactic Empire Mod?!

I went to the website https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/331584 and downloaded the mod, extracted it to C:\Documents and Settings\...\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods, and tried running it.

 

It didn't show up under the Mods section in the Options menu.  I checked in the Mods folder, it shows two files: SOGE and readme0.9

If you have entrenchment installed also, you will have 2 mod folders. Make sure you put this mod in the folder that says  Mods-v1.16   ( this mod is for Vanilla sins only). Other than that it sounds like you did everything ok.

also the mod does not work on versions prior to 1.15 so please update if you can.

the mod does NOT want/need entrenchment.

vanilla sins is sins WITHOUT any expansion packs
