Demigod World Builder

Some things I'd like to see happen to help the game build a larger player base:

Public release of a map editor or map editor derivative. Assuming the editor isn't terribly complicated, I would be able to make 2-3 ladder ready maps a week that are designed from a competative standpoint that makes logical sense. No more portal flags that do NOTHING but feed your opponents 2x exp in exchange for a few war rank points. No more maps that look like a penis and balls begging to get backdoored by a bicurious Lord Erebus. Please, make it happen.

End of quote

The editor is 3DStudioMax. Enjoy.

The maps are just one big 3D model. There's no way to make it any simpler. There is no tile or heightmap system as in Starcraft or Warcraft III.

Good luck with 3DS. Among my most hated programs.

Oh, and their support banned me after I said the first fix given didn't work and asked if anything else was available.

You can easily teach yourself 3dMax, quite a few guides out there to.

Well just building the model is most likely just the first step. You'd need the tools to designate the shops, flags, what area players can walk on, what path the creeps should take etc etc. And noone but the developer has those. That said, if they released those, with a guide on how to use them, there will probably be a lot of people with 3DStudio and Maya that will take up the challenge and start making maps.
