Unknown Ability?

What the heck? I have this large (taking up the whole bar), thoroughly mixed, TEC fleet. I'm competing against another TEC enemy. I jump to a wormhole to their fleet taking up all the bars except one. Immediately, all my ships lost probably half of their health. I figured it was missile barrage, but all they had was a lvl 2 Dunov and other mixed frigates and cruisers. What happened?

Someone just started building a starbase in the grav well where you jumped from? What happened to your antimatter?

yeah, there was a starbase. I always destroy a starbase before I leave the gravity well, but not this time, and I just got the phase destabilization. thanks!

u said the enemy was a tec fleet? so the starbase was tec? maybe they used the last resort protocol (that may not be the right name, my mind is blanking at midnight)

last resort woulda popped every frigate/cruiser (caps too if they have no mit and/or are too low)

nono, it was the phase destabilization. the same thing happened with an advent starbase, confirming it.
