UI Mods!

Hi,

I've just discovered that there are EXTREMELY useful UI mods people had created in the Beta.  You can find them here: https://forums.stardock.com/341720    I just installed them.  They still work!

Are there any other UI mods out there?  Is there a central repository for them?  Is anybody working on some others?

I have some suggestions.  Innociv has a great post here: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/323188/page/2/  which has some great ideas.

My primary complaint with the game has to do with minor interface features that are missing.  If the UI is so moddable, it could mean we can tweak it ourselves while the devs cook up other tasty treats.

Unfortunately I have neither time nor programming chops to do much for myself.  But the one thing I would LOVE to see more than anything is some sort of display showing how many and which kinds of minions I have currently alive.\\

 

Any ideas?

... does this still work online? Please note that many of the UI Mods that have worked in the Beta can get you banned I think... or maybe they dont' work. I dunno...

You just wont be able to play with anyone else over impulse. Not sure about LAN.

If anyone gets a mod to work over LAN let me know. May have to start modding if that is the case. :)

modifying the LUA (interface code) and modifying the actual game code are very, very different

These wont allow you to play via Impulse... So, I think that should say it all. <X3

hrrmm w/e in other ganes that are competitve custom ui are not allowed since it makes cheats very easy, but ur probs right if it just the codes

 

oh and one of those links is to just a photoshop, not an actual ui

Oh man, you're right, it doesn't work online.  That's really unfortunate.  When is this going to be reimplimented?

 

Modding the UI is not cheating.

See this thread: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/320240  post 25 where Caryn Law, the UI Designer for Demigod, says making a moddable UI is important to her, she's encouraging and excited to see what people do.

I don't understand why this has been disabled.  I hope this is re-enabled soon.  Does anybody have any information about this?
