Game crashes when I attempt to update

Anyone else have this problem?

 

Better yet, does anyone have a fix?

 

I browsed the boards but only found stuff about logitech webcams, which i don't own.

I'd recommend using Impulse to validate your install and then try updating Demigod again. I haven't actually had this problem myself, so I'm not terribly sure how to fix it.

When you click the update button, the game is supposed to close and open Impulse. But if you don't have Impulse installed, it'll just close, which can be a bit confusing, yeah. Grab it from impulsedriven.com and register your serial key (there's a guide to that stickied in the tech support forum) and you should be set.

I downloaded Demigod through Impulse, and I just assumed Impulse was installed when Demigod was. I'll make a mental note of that for later.

Yeah, turns out I just needed to DL Impulse.

 

I don't like this trend of having to DL additional software to play a game, but I suppose its to be expected with all the piracy going on out there.
