No more legit games on Game Ranger

It is almost impossible to find legit games on Game Ranger. It really pains to download a warez verision of a game I have bought if I want some action.

Demigod is the most amazing game in many years for me (since Warcraft III) but it´s so frustrating when the online part dont work at all. Do anyone know whats the status of the proxy servers? (yes I have read the journals. Every day.)

Well, Brad and the team expects to get them up in days not weeks, as it says in the journal.

I'm waiting for them too, and you're completey right, there is almost no legit games on gameranger at all unfortunately.

Don't send email to their tech support they may revoke your license to use the product like they did mine.

But yeah, if you want to play get the pirated version.  Kind of ironic that Stardock thought piracy wasn't an issue and it will single handedly destroy this game.  When it requires a pirated copy to play a game you bought...that is epic fail.

I downloaded the pirated version as well to play online on gameranger because its impossible to play with my retail game online :(

You mean when you asked for a refund? What'd you think was going to happen? :P

Only if you ask for a refund. (You can't get a refund AND keep your license. This should be a no brainer.)

The legit games on GameRanger do seem pretty sparse tonight... I haven't been able to get into a single one successfully.  They fall apart after waiting on one more player for too long.

Well when they say to ship it to them and I ask for shipping charges to be reimbursed...they said no.  So I assume I still own the game because they didn't agree to a full refund.

Part of their process is to send them the product along with license key.  At that point they should revoke the license until then they have my money and I can't use the game.  When they cut the check is when they should revoke the license...otherwise they are getting a free loan for about 5 weeks. 1 week for me to send it to them and 4 weeks for them to process the payment.

So they say they need 4 weeks to send me a check, but they can cut off the license before I even agree to send the product back at my expense. Something sounds very strange about that.  They are efficient to screw me over and take my money, but when it comes to paying me back...well there are processes and hurdles that keep them from moving as fast.

can you stop whining for one second and ask yourself: why on earth would they agree to give you money before they receive your box?

Can you stop being stupid and think for a second.  Where did I ever say they should give me my money before getting the box back?

Let me say it so you can understand...

Me ask for refund.
Stardock say yes.
Me send back box and stuff to Stardock
Stardock confirm all stuff in box
Stardock disabled my account and processes the payment

If you wanted to keep your license, why did you return it?  If you could buy the game and return it within 10 days and keep playing for a month, there wouldn't be much reason not to return it.  Most games get boring after about a month, and it would sure be better than downloading and deleting a demo.

They aren't getting a 5 week loan, the bandwidth they are saving from not having you play while you wait for your cheque in the mail is worth beans.  You got to play the game enough to know you didnt want it, and they are gaining nothing from this, and in fact losing money on the whole thing.  Cry more.

can't say it better. He bought a game, decided that it wasn't worth it, Stardock is good enough to offer a refund and when his account is disabled based on the fact that he want to return the game and is supposed to know what he want (but after all he was also supposed to know what he wanted when he first bought the game), he feels the sudden urge to go on a rant, invade other people topics, create a puppet account to support him and so on.

grow up.
