The Patch?

Just wondering if it was already applied today, or will be applied tomorrow? I'm testing the game out at the moment, and I don't want to make character judgements when half the characters are going to be changing a day later. And I totally sucked until I figured out that you actually had to retreat so often, my friend on the LAN was getting pissed at me (he got the game and was playing it a full five hours before me) because I kept dieing so often... stupid towers.

Also, is it just me or are the generals a little difficult to play at the start of the game? What's your strategy? Do you buy potions, minions, armor or what? I can't figure any of the generals out. I'm about to test out the Vampire Lord, but I don't think I'll have a pleasant experience if he wasn't updated, I heard he was very underpowered.

I was asking about this quite a bit earlier. I'll save you some time as I finally found an answer. The day 0 patch is still tomorrow, though the gameplay portions have been added in the preorder download. A mini day 0 patch, if you will. So play him, he's the way he'll be tommorow now.

Tomorrow the patch is just going to add networking stuff.

If by Vampire Lord you mean Erebus, I don't think he's underpowered at all..

Was playing a game as Regulus and I kept almost getting the Queen of Thorns but Erebus kept hunting me down. ;x

He used to be underpowered, he got buffed up in the version we downloaded along with all the generals, oak, Queen of Thorns, and Sedna.

Ahhh thanks a ton! He did feel fairly balanced when I tried him, though I'm a pretty horrid player at the moment. Still trying to get a hang of the generals... tricky lot. The game feels great... I don't know if I'm gonna get to bed tonight. I keep saying "one more game"

The generals are really hard to play correctly. It's a different mindset and you just can't think of your pets as orbital damage pods. It's a lot of fun though, I'm enjoying Queen of Thorns a lot, though it is nice to switch over to Unclean beast from time to time and not have to worry about spawns haha.

I think I'm actually getting a hang of the generals, I have yet to play Sedna (no interest) and I suck with the queen (early game at least) but I've been doing pretty decent with the Oak and Vampire lord. I'm really liking Erebus... no idea how good he is in multiplayer, but there's no faster way to kill a Demigod than getting ten of his terrors out and making them all attack the enemy demigod, then biting the god and killing him instantly when he tries to run away. I'll probably have a hard time with the Torch guy though... what with all his AoE.

Sedna likes to blindside me.  I'll have half hp and be working on finishing some enemy demigod when all of a sudden I die, look up, and see "Sedna killed Ellimist".
