Balance Suggestions

Entrenchment is mainly very balanced, but some changes need to be made imo.

There is too much controversy over the Marza, I'm not going to discuss it. I will discuss other units which get less attention.

 

Seige Frigates: Greatly increase their survivability by doubling their hull and shield points and reduce fleet supply to 7, BUT make them require 3 or 4 mil labs to be researched.

Carrier Caps: Increase the no. of squads to 3. Make them upgradable to 9.

Anti-Structure Cruisers: Change the armour type on the Ogrov and Starfish from light to heavy, to make them more survivable.

 

Revelation's Provoke Hysteria should do 100 planet bombing dps for 10 secs, with a 100 sec. cooldown time. Guidance should still be a targeted ability but should get an AoE.

 

Subverter's Distortion Field should have 7000 range and cost 125 AM.

 

Desolator's Phase Missile Swarm should have a 10/20/30 % to ignore enemy shields and shield mitigation. Desolator should get its DPS boosted to 51 from 41.

 

So, what do you think? Are any of these suggestions bad? If so, explain why.

I like the carreir cap one.

I use a mod that has that in it and it does make the cap much more useful. Espcecially TEC

I've never heard of this mod. Whats it called?

 

Another suggestion that I reckon would be good is:

Akkan's colonise. Change the bonus to the first structure you build is free at level 1. At level 2, the first 2 structures you build are free. At level 3, the first 3 structures you build are free. Maybe this is too powerful.

This would make the Akkan a good starting cap and give the TEC more starting strategies.

free structures is way too powerful. i think we should just keep the current bonus of free extractors on the resource rocks but instead of having it level up 0/1/2 it should be 1/2/3.

That bonus is too weak. TEC already gets an upgrade giving them cheaper structures. Free extractors are not a major saving anyway.

If my change is too strong, then make all structures 10/15/20 % cheaper as you level up Akkan's colonise.

 

Well, what about my other suggestions. Revelation definately needs boost and Seige Frigates need to be reworked. I don't think anyone would deny that.

 

 

 

Wow. this thread is a fail. Doesn't anyone have good suggestions to make some of the weaker units in the game more useful.
