First Impression

Ok, I played demi god for the first time today and this is what I thought

First I want to say it is quite enjoyable in its own right, but it does need quite a bit of improvement.

Some things I liked:

I love the different choice of maps, it is not not having to do a 5v5.

Graphics, very pretty

The talent tree, my favorit part is the fact you can not get all of your talents so you really have to pre plan

The flag system, it is a great way to reward the push.

I like the fact you can pay for upgrades to the army

Some things i thought could be improved:

Minon managment(I felt they did a DREADFUL job at this)

1. It is a pain to see which minons are yours among the other minions

A. you could add a minimap( it would help to distiguis

B. personaly i would tent the entire minon your color( so if you are red make the minion have some red on it)

2. It is very difficult to use your minions for strategic attacks.

A. From what i saw non of the minions had any special abilities they could just attack(if you want to play as a general you should be good a macro so special abilities would be cool)

B. I want to be able to break my minions into groups to do stratigic attacks and it is increadably hard to do that

3. The maps do leave something to be desired, they need more passages at the very least, i would really like to see narrow bridges in those gaps that a demi god could cross.

Your point about minon management is good.  If you want to micro your minotaurs or priests, it's hard to tell which are which to click on if you look away for a moment.  Your idea for the solution is a good one.

And I agree, some special abilities for archers and minotaurs would be nice, at least for the lvl 4's.  But I think thsoe abilities would need to be automatic..

Micro'ing abilities with minions would need to come from items which abilities you use on them, like QoT's mulch requires micro of moving a shambler in range and then mulching it to do damage, that's good micro..

For your 2-b, I think it's actually good that you don't need to worry about hotgroups.

For 3, yeah it'd be nice if some maps had narrow passages.. especially if there where demigods that had walls or something.  The blocking the smaller paths in DotA is neat.

Pretty much all good ideas, unfortunately it appears to be kind of beyond the time where they take such ideas into consideration.
