Adobe Flashplayer issue

Hey all,

I've been having issues with my computer not recognising that I have flashplayer installed. I've noticed the problem with Firefox3, IE7 and also Steam.  It seemingly happened all of a sudden about two or three weeks ago; the only correlation I can make is that I noticed it starting to happen after installing the EA Download Manager (piece of junk - it and Spore).

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the flash player several times but the problem remains. Has anyone had a similar issue, or know how to fix it?

Quite common occurence, best to get the flash removal tool from adobe, run that then re-install after boot best practice really with every flash update to stop interference.

Lots of sites have had problems with version 10 so maybe re-installing version 9 will suit you.

10 worked for me with FF3 but not IE7 even just the activex version.

Google flash removal tool then google archive flash versions.

Thanks for your help bud; FF seems to be working ok now (with Flash v9). Steam is still asking for the latest version of Flash, but I'll think I'll wait a little longer for the next Flash version and see if they've rectified the compatibility problem.
