Historical candidates created from 1928 forward

Noone has been able to tell me how to link a zip file here, so I guess if any want them they can email me ronandirene@msn.com

the list includes all party nominees for President and VP since 1960 with the exception of Barry Goldwater's running mate and all Presidential nominees since 1928.
Herbert Hoover
Al Smith
Franklin Roosevelt
Alf Landon
Wendell Willkie
Thomas E Dewey
Harry Truman
Adlai Stevenson
Dwight Eisenhower
John F Kennedy
Dick Nixon
Henry Cabot Lodge
LBJ
Barry Goldwater
Hubert Humphrey
Edmund Muskie
Spiro Agnew
George McGovern
Sargent Shriver
Jerry Ford
Bob Dole
Walter Mondale
Geraldine Ferraro
Ronnie Reagan
Dan Quayle
Michael Dukakis
Lloyd Bentsen
Jack Kemp
RFK

Some of the files were taken directly from the core candidates file. If you have not unlocked these characters and you use mine, do not change the names in the files or they will not save for you. Of course Bob Dole is directly taken from the Bill Mason file.

I would like to mention I tweaked the information already posted by JaguarJames, JefferyPinnard and DannyJah. No big differences, just some things I thought would bring more realism.

Most of the candidate pictures came from http://www.campaignbuttons-etc.com/ which is a very interesting site.

One more sent out John. It takes very little time for me to send these and is easy to lead onto your games.

Awsome!
2 things:
1. FDR, Reagan, Ford were the same as game execpt different names!
2. You should make other people!

I copied them for those who had not unlocked them. The have different names because if you try to create two characters with the same name they will not be allowed, even if you have not unlocked them.

I am thinking of creating a list of famous candidates who could not win their party's nomination for one reason or another. Characters like R. Taft, Hart, Buchanan, Connally, G. McCarthy, Udall, Brown.

I think an interesting what if match up would have been Agnew-Carter, or Taft-Stevenson. The big matchup I want to try is RFK-Nixon.

Harvey, I sent yours out too.

Just played as Mondale with RFK vs. Eisenhower. It was great!

I created a lot of candidates yesterday, I'd have to get them from my other PC. I think I forgot LBJ, is he already on the game? (I haven't played in the Democratic Scenario yet)

I wouldn't have thought of that one, and would have considered RFK for the top spot but that's wild. I think an interesting race would be Truman vs Eisenhower. In 1952 I think Eisenhower would have won big, just as he did against Stevenson, but given the equalizer of time, I think that Truman would have come out on top.

Yes he is. That's why I said not to change his name or the game wouldn't save two files with the same name.

Mark and citizen fillibuster, you should have your files now.

Having trouble sending to Hotmail customers right now. Strange since MSN has a partnership with them. I may need to split the files by candidate and png files. I will try again this evening.
I have been told the hotmail problem may be due to a limit on the amount of space on free hotmail accounts. I sent the files to citizen latour, citizen fillibuster and to mark again with only the candidate files. A good place to find pics for the candidates is http://www.campaignbuttons-etc.com/

Yeah, I noticed that. I changed it in mine, after I picked him as a VP.
