Ironclad Games and Stardock Entertainment are pleased to announce the releases of both Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment v1.0 and Sins of a Solar Empire v1.15 today.  Registered customers may download the update to Sins and Entrenchment via Impulse (http://www.impulsedriven.com).

Special thanks to all of the beta testers for helping us to make Entrenchment a truly unique addition to the game!

I really need to know should I install SoaSE update in order to install entrenchment or I may ignore it and install entrenchment directly (after installing SoaSE of course) ?!!

sorry for mistake but i m french and my english was very poor,

but i have a french version of "sins of a solar empire" , i want to know if there is a french version of "Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment " or if i must wait or if this two version are compatible, thanks for your answer, and sorry for my mistakes

Sins 1.15 is required for Entrenchment. So make sure you have Sins updated before you install.

Yes, there is a French version. It should install automatically if it picks up a French Sins installation. But, if you want to double check (and it would probably be a good idea), send an email to sales@stardock.com so they can tell you more officially. I tried to find out exactly how it works last night, but no SD person who tolerates me bugging them was around. :P

This look like a great expansion! but how come it only for download only??  how come its not out in stores? .. im just saying this because i refuse to buy anything online(That's just my personal view). I really want this expansion but i wont buy it until it comes out in stores if it does. Will it ever come out in retail stores?

it is great. Going by how they handled galciv i dont expect it to come out in stores. it might come out when all 3 microexpansions are out but that could be a while. If you are concerned about giving out your credit card, i understand. they do accept paypal which has been very safe for me. more and more sites accept paypal and they insure what you pay up to $1000. I highly recommend it. you can easily buy stuff from ebay which can find you some great deals.

This will not be released in stores until all 3 expansions are completed.  And then it's not even a guarantee.  The Devs had stated that they MIGHT release a complete set of all 3 expansions as a box set in stores.

As far as buying on-line...you can always go to any gas station of drug store (like Wal-Greens) and buy a $25 Gift Card that works just like a credit card.  It will be a Visa and has a complete CC # and expiration date and everything else just like a credit card.  Use that to buy the game online.  Two popular ones are "All-Access" and "Green-Dot."  I have used the All-Access before and had no problems.

Thanks, i might consider those options (TheSpydyr,batosai33) and  i hope they do  release into stores, when all the expansions are out.
