Anti-carrier spam stratagy ideas

since there are so many complaints about carrier spam why not just have a thread for different stratagies against them. i mean when im stuck on a puzzle i Zelda or the Tales of games i can always find the answers on the net somewhere so why not with this...besides if enough good stratagies turn up the carrier spam would become obsulete anyways

well anyways since i cant micro manage very well i usually have my one fleet that contains 11 caps and prolly 80% of my supply that does most of my work. i play advent so having 30-40 DV + 3-4 halycons using push + 2 of the fifth cap what ever its name was using vertigo while having 10 squads of fighters with it the fifth caps concentration aura usually works for me against what bots through at me atleast...oh and the fleet settins has to be all tight

aw come on i know its easyer to complain of call for changes and/or nerfs but how bout just trying to come up with statagies or at least some minor countermesures

I play entrenchement with Vasari mainly.
My strategy is more based on vasari star base in the beginning of the game.

Your typical fleet is quite impressive but I guess it could be really hard to collect enough resources/time in multiplayer game with multiple opponents..:D For me your standard fleet is for late game.
Indeed Strike craft is quick to get and it's really powerful in mid-game.
From my point of view, Star base/mines are an excellent balance of power to Strike Craft at the beginning-mid game.

Of course in late game, canon(novalith)/influence could ruin any nation, regardless to any fleet force.

That's my point of view and I don't want to impose it to others players..:D

well it is my late game fleet but io make a map that allows you to avoid others until later in the game anyways

 tho it usually becomes to muchof a pain to hunt everyone down so my games usually end with deliverance spamming (well actually they usually end with lots of minidumps)

after eating up all my supply i usually have 2 fleets

fleet one with 1 of each cap plus 15 LF, 10 DV, 5 Guardians, 10 LRF and 5 seige: for colonizing uncolonized planets takeing pirate bases and owned planets with light defences and /or no fleet

fleet 2 with my 11 other caps and almost the rest of my supply worth in various frigets and crusers mostly illumys and DVs since they multi-target

Personally I prefer playing on medium/small maps where each player is separated by 2 planets max..:):)

I like to know that ennemy is near..:):)Good stress for me.

meh i like to beable to relax while i work on my economy then crush my enemys with my almost 500 cps income

well i guess its mostly because i like turn based games moar mostly except for the fact that they go too slowly

damn i wosh there was a buy planet/empire option it would be so much moar conveniant

of course that could ownly work on bots but...

still tho the fifth advant caps vertigo is pretty useful ...untill you relise that bombers cant have a miss chance

ah~ it seems that nobody really has any ideas

i mean as far as i know your vasari stargy is credible and advents are pretty well off with vertigo and push but what about tec

i really never play tec cuz the advents motherships 20%-60% cost reduction to planet upgrades is just too usefull but alot of people do play tec so i wonder what they can do

or rather i know tec has flak burst and magnetisim but do those help much

Tec has a lot of stuff against strike craft :

Kol battleship with flak burst
Dunov cap ship with magnetize
Hangar with flak

In fact TEC strategy against Strike Craft is simple : put KOL battleship with autocast on flak burst and watch strike craft get down in flame..:D

 

Anyway another good addition to game would strike craft stance : example : defend fleet, attack struture, defend planet, aso...that would be a great tactical option, isn't it?

TEC's best defence against SC is by far Kol with lvl 3 flak burst.

At lvl 3 no SC in the game will survive more than 2 bursts.

Aside from that, I like the way the abilities of the caps compliment each other, and I like knowing that if I get in iver my head and have armistice I can ALWAYS retreat...

well that statistics and could deffinatly be used to develop tactics but i was looking for the tactic them selves
