I bought this game from PC world for £29.99 today and have to say I couldnt wait to get it home ,........

....after reading all the good reviews, checked out the vids on you tube etc, I thought great this game is gonna rock...

... boy was I disapointed...,

 

...........first off , as per any new game I buy I always get updates first, so I come to this site via the game and I find out my serial number dosent work!!!! dam!

then I think ok take it back to pcworld, ... they dont accept returns on pcgames, Dam!

So back home again,  and google search for patches and find this site  http://solar.filefront.com/

 

here I patch to 1.5... Thinking I have actually got somewhere I try and connect for an online game.... guess what it dosent work either.................

.........then I download the impulse software... suprise suprise .... it goes into a continuious loop of loading and crashing

control alt del.  then quickly uninstall.

 

This software has serious issues, and should not be allowed to be on the shelves until resolved,  someone at this company needs SACKED.

I think you'll find that Stardock support (support@stardock.com) is quite friendly and willing to help you solve any problems you may have. Assuming, of course, you're interested in solving them rather than ranting about them and the company. :P

a ticket has been raised already.

 

of course im intrested in getting the game to work, im just very disapointed..........

at the moment ive a rather expensive coaster on my desk :)

You don't technically need the coaster, just send support your serial number and your proof of purchase(or a picture of you with the game and the day's issue of the New York Times), and they should resolve whatever it is that's bugging you.

BTW, for Impulse you need .Net framework 2.0, do you have that?

I'd say the infinite crash loop was caused by the hacked and not approved update you got.

As for not being able to update officially just ask StarDock they'll dort it

That shouldn't be the cause, as Impulse doesn't even know he has Sins yet. My money is still on the lack/botched install of a .Net.

the update was an official update, it says so on the site...

 

I have .net 3.5 sp1 on my pc, am it still dosent work,

were does it say it needs .net?

Regicide .NET screwed me on impulse too.  Try to reinstall your .NET framework Jupiter.
