where does impluse save archives?

i'm stuck on dial-up so whenever a big patch comes around i have to take the laptop to the city to get my downloads

so as we all know i cant just save the patch to update my desktop later so i installed sins and impluse on the laptop and headed to town, i was told that i can either copy the whole sins folder or have impluse archive it in order to get the updated version to my desktop

anyway i decided to archive it so that i could just save the whole thing on a disc but i cant figure out where the archive is saved, i took a look around the folders and i did a search on both sins and impluse site/forums but search came up empty (i think the search just sucks)

so ya if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great

PS. if were gonna keep using impluse for the love of god fix it, it took me forever just to login the first time running it, kept telling me to check my internet connection then when i finally got it working it took forever just to start downloading the update

In Impulse, click on the orb in the upper left and then choose "Restore Archive"

i figured impluse would have some sort of manual with most of this info, i looked around and didnt see anything, would really help for those of us who dont really know anything about the program

After you move the archive to your computer, you need to make sure you have impluse installed on your computer and logged in, then click the blue orb and click Restore Archive.  Select the archive you want to restore and Impulse will install the program and you will be ready to go.

The only rub is that you need to make sure that you used "Download and Archive" otherwise impulse will only beable to restore the archive on the computer it was made on.

Hope that helps.

good to know, i just clicked archive after the patch installed, didnt have any issues, will be sure to do the above in the future tho, would suck to make the trip to the city only to have to go back and download the whole thing lol
